What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Fusion fiesta at club PDF Print E-mail

Jamshedpur, May 29: If you are looking for the place where you can party on a Saturday night at the steel city, Karaoke Club at Hotel Citi Inn is the place to be.

Hip-hop, metal, trance and house genres would be played during the jam sessions with Bollywood numbers.

The idea of having music fusion nights clicked when the hotel officials visited various discotheques at the metropolitan cities.

They thought of organising the same at Hotel Citi Inn so that the people of steel city could shake a leg to the popular numbers and have their share of fun.

“Some officials came up with this idea and we thought of going ahead with it. Nowadays young people love to go partying and we thought it would be a good idea to have fusion nights,” said Vijay Pillai, the general manager of the hotel.

The weekends bring with them the additional fun of getting soaked in the music mania with disc jockeys being roped in from Calcutta.

A bonanza for the summer months, the focus is clearly on quality entertainment for people of the city.

The entry fee for a couple on all the days have been fixed as Rs 500.

The club officials know that the weekdays would see few people coming in, but the weekends would be a packed house.

“We have introduced it on a trial basis at our hotel. People like dance and let their hair down and have some fun in weekends. So, we think the fusion night concept will soon become popular with people,” added Pillai.

If you think the DJs would give Bollywood numbers a miss, you are wrong. Bollywood numbers — right from the oldies to the recent hits — would be a regular feature at the club.

During family days, it would be Bollywood all the way as Hindi songs would be a clear favourite with the crowd.

While DJ’s from Calcutta would make the people dance to hit numbers, the weekdays would be strictly reserved for the hotel’s own DJs, who would churn out some foot tapping numbers.

“We hope the concept will get a good response from public at large,” hoped Pillai.
