Jamshedpur, Dec. 30: Good news for those who love their drinks.

A swanky bar is set to tempt all to Beldih Club. Designed entirely on the Sailor’s Bar, the Tahiti Antiquity Bar is a sponsored project of the Beldih Club with United Spirits Limited.

Given a contemporary look with a use of frosted white and blue glass, the open air bar has a 600sqft lawn.

Open from all the three sides, it is also done up in a combination of white and blue lights.

“We wanted an open-air place where one could hang out and that gave shape to the Tahiti Antiquity Bar,” said Amresh Pande, a member of the food and beverages committee of the club.

The bar has a hut-like look, with false ceilings and tiles which add to its appeal. Here, one can enjoy a mug of beer on a lazy winter afternoon. All the interiors of the bar have been done up in wood and glass. A generous use of frosted glass adds to the charm of the place and looks splendid in the evening.

Inaugurated on Saturday, the bar will operate on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings for the club members. It will also remain open on Sunday afternoons.

It can easily host around 70-100 guests at a time. Behind the fresh new look is a team of architects from Calcutta.

“We zeroed in on the look at CC&FC Club. We have taken notes from there for the Tahiti bar,” said Pande.

With the inauguration of the Tahiti, the club now has two bars to boast of. Coming up next is a third bar in the vicinity of the Tahiti Antiquity Bar, which would again be designed in a new look.

Officials at the Beldih Club confirmed that the third bar would be given a more trendy and youthful look and live bands will also be arranged for at the venue. They have not announced when the third bar would come up but it is definitely aimed at the youths.
