Jamshedpur, Jan. 30: Over a month is left for Baba Ramdev to visit steel city but he has already begun to hold sway over the residents of the city. Entry coupons of Baba Ramdev’s camp are selling like hot cakes, as yoga enthusiasts don’t want to miss the opportunity to meet the man with healing powers. So far over 3,000 entry coupons have been sold from various sale counters in the city. Demand for coupons as well as enquiry about the camp is trickling into the office of Yog Vigyan Shivir Samiti (YVSS), the organiser of the camp. “Response to the camp is very positive. The volume of sale suggests that all 8,000 entry coupons will be sold out before start of the camp,” said Muralidhar Kedia, the secretary of the organising committee. The camp will be held at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur from March 9 to 14, from 5am to 7.30am. Baba Ramdev will also answer the problems of the people through tele-conferencing from 8pm to 9pm. Kedia said entry coupons — priced at Rs 2,100, Rs 1,100 and Rs 500 — are on sale. “We are selling the coupons at different outlets across the city and its surrounding areas. Coupons are being sold from business establishments in Sakchi, Bistupur, New Baradwari, Jugsalai, Kadma, Sonari, Golmuri, Telco and Mango,” he said. Kedia added they were expecting full attendance on all days of the weeklong camp. The money collected through sale of the coupons will be handed over to Hardwar-based Patanjali Yogpeeth. Forty vaids will also accompany Ramdev. “I don’t miss any of show by Baba Ramdev on TV. Now I have the opportunity to meet him in person. I am keen on attending the camp,” said a housewife, adding she would be accompanied by her husband and two daughters.
