Jamshedpur, Dec. 30: Several professional golfers from across the country will be assembling in the steel city for the 2008 Tata Open Golf Tournament.

The tournament, which starts off from January 2 to 6 at Beldih and Golmuri courses, will see a former Indian wicketkeeper, Syed Kirmani, and a group of corporate bigwigs taking part.

S.S. Chowrasia, Mukesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Uttam Singh Mundy and other leading golfers would be competing for the Rs 20-lakh prize money. The event will start with professionals and amateurs playing together (Pro-Am) on January 2.

A swanky bar is set to tempt all to Beldih Club. Designed entirely on the Sailor’s Bar, the Tahiti Antiquity Bar is a sponsored project of the Beldih Club with United Spirits Limited.

Given a contemporary look with a use of frosted white and blue glass, the open air bar has a 600sqft lawn.

Open from all the three sides, it is also done up in a combination of white and blue lights.

“We wanted an open-air place where one could hang out and that gave shape to the Tahiti Antiquity Bar,” said Amresh Pande, a member of the food and beverages committee of the club.

Dec 30, जमशेदपुर। साकची गुरुद्वारा की 75 साल पुरानी इमारत तोड़ बनवाया गया नया भवन 31 दिसंबर सोमवार संगत को समर्पित कर दिया जाएगा। यह जानकारी देते हुए गुरुद्वारा कमेटी के प्रधान स. महेंदर सिंह, सलाहकार दर्शन सिंह गंभीर, बिल्डिंग इंचार्ज इ. अवतार सिंह व महेंद्र सिंह, जत्थेदार सुच्चा सिंह, महासचिव कुलबीर सिंह, प्रवक्ता सुरजीत सिंह छित्ते ने बताया कि इस दिन पुराने हाल से गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब जी की शोभायाज्ञत्रा निकलेगी। इसके बाद बाबा दीप सिंह द्वारा हस्तलिखित गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब के सरूप का नए हाल में हजूर साहिब नांदेड़ के जत्थेदार सुच्चा सिंह प्रकाश करेंगे। फिर अरदास कर नई इमारत संगत को समर्पित की जाएगी। 

Dec 30, जमशेदपुर। श्री अबिचल नगर हजूर तख्त साहिब नांदेड़ (महाराष्ट्र) से प्रारंभ हुई 'गुरु मानिओ ग्रंथ जागृति यात्रा' रांची से कल शनिवार को अपने त्रिदिवसीय प्रवास पर जमशेदपुर आ रही है। यात्रा रांची से सड़क मार्ग द्वारा सुबह 11.45 पारडीह पहुंचेगी। यहां झारखंड सह सेंट्रल गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी के अध्यक्ष स. शैलेंद्र सिंह नगर की गुरुद्वारा कमेटियों के प्रधान व साध-संगत के साथ जीवंत श्री गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब जी की अगवानी करेंगे। वहां स. जवाहर सिंह की फैक्ट्री में थोड़े ठहराव के बाद 10 माइल होटल, दसमेश बाग गुरुद्वारा होते हुए एक बजे संत कुटिया गुरुद्वारा पहुंचेगी, वहां लंगर बरता जाएगा। फिर दोपहर दो बजे मानगो पुल पहुंचेगी। यहां मानगो चौक से पुल तक मानगो गुरुद्वारा कमेटी के प्रधान अमरजीत सिंह अन्य पदाधिकारियों व संगत संग पुष्पवर्षा करेंगे।
