Jan 29, जमशेदपुर। मिठाइ खरीदने जा रहे हों, तो सावधान! दरअसल शहर में मिठाइयों के नाम पर मीठा जहर बेचा जा रहा है, जो आपकी खुशी को गम में बदल सकता है। ज्यादा लाभ कमाने के लिए शहर में मिठाई दुकानों पर बड़े पैमाने पर सिंथेटिक दूध से तैयार छेना और चालानी खोया से मिठाइयां बनवाई जा रही हैं। चिकित्सक कहते हैं कि सिंथेटिक दूध से बनी मिठाई मानव स्वास्थ्य के लिए काफी खतरनाक साबित हो सकती है।जमशेदपुर में सिंथेटिक दूध बनाने का काम एक बहुत बड़ा रैकेट काम कर रहा है। बेकिंग पाउडर, अरारोट, यूरिया व सिलिकेट को पानी में मिलाकर दूध बनाया जाता है। इसे तैयार में प्रति लीटर लागत 4 से 5 रुपये तक आती है।
XLRI, NIF sign MoU to create research council
Jamshedpur, Jan 28 B-School XLRI has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) for creation of a research advisory council (RAC). The council will assess different innovations sourced by the NIF from Jharkhand, Bihar, part of West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
The innovations will be sourced from the NIF's national register for grassroots innovations. The selected ones will be supported through nomination to the biennial national innovation award, refining the product, protection of intellectual property rights associated with it and offering risk capital investment by NIF's micro venture fund for setting up enterprises.
Wheels 2008 : Techies’ tryst with culture
Jamshedpur, Jan. 27: The annual cultural extravaganza of Graduate Engineers Trainee of Tata Motors started today.
The annual extravaganza, named Wheels, saw some 200 people taking part in the events. Though the programme is organised by fresh batch of engineers who have been recruited by the company, but students to young corporates everybody took part at the cultural meet at Telco Club.
An inauguration ceremony took place at Telco Club in the morning which was followed by events like painting, collage, fancy dress competition and paper dress contest.

Jan 28, जमशेदपुर। गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर टाटा स्टील के वर्क्स मुख्य गेट पर मुख्य कार्यपालक अधिकारी एचएम नेरुरकर ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया। अपने संबोधन में श्री नेरुरकर ने वैश्विक स्तर पर देश ने अपनी आवाज बुलंद की है। इसके बावजूद हमारे सामने काफी चुनौतियां हैं। साइंस एंड टेक्नोलॉजी पर हमें विशेष ध्यान देना होगा। शुरुआत में लगा था कि प्रजातंत्र का मार्ग सही नहीं होगा परंतु समय के साथ यह साबित हो गया कि हमारे महान नेताओं ने प्रजातंत्र का जो रास्ता चुना था वह काफी अच्छा था। आज हमारे देश ने वैश्विक स्तर पर अपनी आवाज को बुलंद कर दिया है। समूचा विश्व हमारा लोहा मान रहा है।
National quality award in school kitty
Carmel Junior College
Jamshedpur, Jam. 27: Barely a year after it was judged the best school in the city by a panel for the Dr J.J. Irani Excellence award in Education, Carmel Junior College (CJC) has gone ahead to grab yet another title — that of the best school in the country.
The panel to judge CJC as the winner this time was the Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC) Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2007.
The school bagged the special award and a high score of 721 out of 1,000, making it the best.
Schools that follow CJC are Mumbai and Gurgaon institutions. In the higher education category, the award went to Manipal University in Karnataka. Established in 1996, the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award was instituted to give recognition to excellence in organisations — but quality practices in education and healthcare, too, is a prominent aspect of the awards.
