Jamshedpur, Sept. 5: Shop more, save more.

Wondering how? The Loot is your answer.

The latest retail chain of multi-branded discount stores has opened shop in Bistupur over a 2,200sqft area. The city outlet of The Loot is the 45th in India and the first in the eastern region of Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa and Bengal. The second store in Jharkhand would be opened in Ranchi later this month.

“There is a buoyancy in the city these days. People, especially the youth, have become brand conscious. Be it a school or college student or a young professional, everybody wants to get noticed. That is the reason we are expecting a lot of youths to visit the store,” said Ankit Agarwal, the proprietor of the store.

The store will house about 100 branded apparels, footwear and accessories, including Spykar, Lee Cooper, Levis, Wrangler, Park Avenue, Van Heusen, Liliput and Puma.

Footwear from Red Tape has also found a place here along with perfumes and handbags. An added benefit is that every brand would be available here at a minimum discount of 25 to 60 per cent (depending upon the brand) throughout the year.

“Although we are mainly targeting the youth, we have an entire family package for men, women and children. Traditional women can also opt for kurtas available in various fabrics and material,” added Agarwal.

Apart from the festive seasonal wear, formal wear for working women and casual wear for men and women will also be available at the store. Women looking for formal outfits would have more options after being forced to choose between a sari and salwar kameez till now. The store also offers women the option to choose from exclusive shirts and trousers, that too at a low price. “We aim to create a space for value retailing. This is an excellent supply chain management which helps in getting better pricing from the manufacturer and passing the benefit on to the customer,” said Melwyn Rebeiro, the customer care executive and vice-president (operations) of the retail chain.

The store has attracted customers and they plan to drop in once it opens tomorrow. “Finally we get a store with almost all the high-end brands under one roof. It will not only save money and effort but will also save time. It will be a place from where a family can walk out after shopping,” said Anand Jaluka, an executive working in a corporate house.

So get ready for The Loot!
