Jamshedpur, July 5: Bagicha — a single stop shop of horticulture products — was inaugurated today by Ramendra Gupta, the chairman-cum-managing director of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL). Located on the Straight Mile Road, the shop will house scientifically developed horticultural products of many varieties. These include grafted fruit plants, ornamental flowering shrubs, foliage plants, bougainvillaea, creepers, palms, roses, ferns, hibiscus, hanging plants, bonsai, hybrid vegetable seedlings and lawn grasses. The public health and horticulture services of Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company (Jusco) has also introduced organic manure called Vermi Com and Leaf Com, which is prepared indoors by decomposing organic waste used for growing horticultural crops. Apart from saplings and plants, an additional section of various gardening tools, fertilisers, insecticides, pesticides, seed of seasonal flowers and vegetables, moss sticks, decorative flower vases and pots of different sizes and shape would be on sale under a single roof for convenience of the buyers. Bagicha would also deliver products to buyers at their homes and offer technical advice for gardening over the phone. Competitive pricing and a parking facility on the premises would be other attractions, said a worker.
