Jamshedpur, Feb. 28: Aftercreating history of sorts with the launch of world’s first Bhojpuri language portal, the city software firm — Infogate is set to scale newer heights. Come next week, this Bistupur-based firm would launch a one of its kind online travel portal from the steel city. It will be christened flyagents.com. “Thanks to my first venture, bhojpuria.com. I got a chance to travel across the globe. It was during these visits that I realised how painstaking bookings could be. Therefore we at Infogate decided to launch this unique portal which can address all our travel needs,” said Sudhir Kumar, director of the firm. To be launched in a span of six to seven days, the portal is unique in all ways. To begin with the portal would not only provide online booking facilities of hotels and airlines across India, but also all over the world. “We have entered into a collaboration with Indian Air Travel association (IATA). Therefore with the launch of this website we will be entitled to book for all airlines which are affiliated to IATA,” said Kumar. Elaborating more on the booking plans, the director added that hotel booking facilities would be available in over 300 cities across India and over 140 countries worldwide. Apart from that the company has also entered into a strategic alliance with Deccan by virtue of which anybody booking one ticket with the airlines company would get a second ticket absolutely free of cost. Asked why a travel portal— Kumar said: “With time this is going to emerge as a major revenue earning industry. Moreover this would be also be a one-stop travel guide unlike other portals which are only restricted to bookings.” The portal would also provide facilities like car bookings, travel insurance and destination tips. “We have tied up with local taxi drivers association in all cities and in Jharkhand the only city enlisted is Ranchi as others do not have any such association,” said Kumar. Some of the other added services include site visits, holiday packages, special package by Euro Rail, world class cruises, forex rates and travel insurance. United India Insurance would provide these insurances to the travellers. There would also be a special link for travel tips and destination details. “The destination link would provide every possible details of a particular place right from how to reach there, to cuisine,” said Kumar. The company also plans to launch offline help desk for non-Internet users soon after the launch of this unique travel portal.
