Located near the banks of the Subernarekha and away from the din of the city, Jamshedpur Workers’ College (JWC) provides the perfect academic environment. JWC, a constituent unit of Ranchi University, was established in 1959. It is the first college in the city to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The co-educational institution has been providing quality education up to the postgraduate level. Jamshedpur Workers’ College also offers several vocational courses. The college focuses on all-round development of its students. Students of JWC are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities and have won several prizes, setting an enviable record. The college also organises sports events every year and many of its students have represented the college in national events. JWC has also been organising the Inter College Boxing Championship for six years. A placement cell tries to get students jobs. With its upgraded education and infrastructure facilities, JWC is among the best colleges in the city. PRINCIPAL SPEAK -S.S. Razi
