BIRTH OF OTHER INDUSTRIES IN AND AROUND JAMSHEDPUR

While Jamshedpur was created for the manufacture of steel, it was obvious that if a number of factories could be established in the region to process steel into more advanced products, the city would become an Industrial hub. So began the adventures in collaboration.
The subsidiary companies like TELCO, The Indian Tube Company, Tata Yodogawa Ltd., Tata Robbins Fraser Ltd, Indian Oxygen Ltd, The Indian Cable Company, The Tinplate Company of India Ltd, Indian Steel and Wire Products, JEMCO, NML, etc slowly took form. Besides this numerous industries have also come up near Adityapur Industrial Estate, promoted by the government of undivided Bihar. Each of the companies formed by Tata Steel and other renowned foreign collaborations has made vital contributions to the overall progress and development of the country. The details are as follows:
