Profile Equipped with Japanese, European and indigenous technologies, Tayo Rolls has kept pace with the changing needs of the industry by developing rolls to meet the exacting demands for various applications. In June, 1999, Tayo Rolls entered into a licence and know-how agreement with Union Electric Steel Corporation, USA, a leading forged roll manufacturer, for the transfer of technology for the finish machining of forged rough-turned and hardened steel rolls, and also to represent the company in India for their direct sales. Thus Tayo Rolls is now a one-stop shop for cast as well as forged rolls. The company has been accredited with ISO-9002 certification by the Indian Register Quality Systems for the manufacture and supply of cast iron and cast steel rolls. It has also received ISO-14001 and OHAS-18001 certifications by the Indian Register Quality System. As a step towards backward integration, the company has installed a mini blast furnace (MBF) having a capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum (tpa). The MBF has been commissioned in February, 2005. The liquid metal from the MBF is being used for captive consumption and excess pig iron is sold in the market. The company has embarked on an expansion programme to increase its present capacity from 12,500 tonnes to 17,000 tonnes per annum in phases. Areas of business Locations Contact |
