Jamshedpur, Nov. 13: The fourth annual homecoming of XLRI this year promises to be one of the best times the alumni had in their college. “The annual homecoming is XLRI’s flagship event where through the participation of our distinguished alumni we try to address some of the recent and burning corporate issues. Therefore this year we decided to initiate a debate on entrepreneurs,” said B.L. Raina, Managing Director of Tinplate Company of India Limited and national president of the XLRI alumni association. The topic for this year’s discussion is ‘Carpetbaggers or Nation Builders’. “Since our focus is now shifting more towards the development of social entrepreneurs, therefore we decided to invite some leading names from the field to be part of this annual homecoming,” said Father Casimir Raj, director XLRI during a press conference, today. The panel discussion would be the main attraction during the annual homecoming of XLRI on November 17 and 18. The eminent personalities who have been invited to be the panelist at this year’s discussion are E. Sarathbabu the IIM, Ahmedabad graduate and founder of Food King Catering Services, Manish Sabharwal, founder and CEO TeanLease Services, S. Sivakumar chief executive ITC agri-business e-choupal and film director, producer and singer Anjan Dutta. “We have so far received confirmations from about 100 students who would like to visit the campus on the two days and are expecting 50 more,” said Madhukar Shukla, chairperson of alumni, XLRI.
