Jamshedpur, July 4: Tata Football Academy’s search for taller players has ended at the doorsteps of Anil Hansda.
Towering at 6ft 4in, the 14-year-old resident of Burmamines in Jamshedpur has set a record of sorts. He is the first tribal boy to be inducted into the TFA as a goalkeeper.
For a youngster who used to play short matches for chicken and eyeglasses, induction into the Tata Football Academy (TFA) has come as a big boost to Hansda.
“It’s like a dream come true for me. To get selected as a cadet while attending selection trials for the first time is certainly a big thing. It is also a big break for me,” Hansda said.
TFA coaches said Hansda’s collection and anticipation skills look promising. “We think he is a good find. Handa is raw but we’ll shape him up. He has lot of years to learn the nuances of goal keeping", said Ranjan Chowdhary, the coach of the TFA.
Jamshedpur, July 4: Manufacturing units in the Adityapur industrial hub are set to receive a hi-tech makeover with entrepreneurs of 50-and-an-odd small and medium units deciding to implement Software Appliance Programme (SAP) in their respective units. So far, SAP was limited to larger units.
The entrepreneurs of small and medium industrial units came forth to implement SAP after a software company, Seasoft Solutions, in collaboration with SAP India, organised a two-day event on Enterprise Resource Planning that concluded today. The programme was being held at the Adityapur Small Industrial Association (ASIA) Bhavan and was attended by a number of traders.
One of the main firm that gave its nod to the SAP move was the ancillary unit of Tata Motors Limited that has been operating in Adityapur trade hub for the past decade.
Vendors of the automobile giant were always interested in the hi-tech software programme, but shied away from it as they believed its introduction would be a “expensive affair”. On the concluding day of the workshop, it was explained to the traders that the SAP implementation would be done under a “cluster concept” and, thus, would prove to be more cost-effective than before. If set up under a cluster, individual units would have to spend an average of Rs 4 lakh for each unit.
