The latest retail chain of multi-branded discount stores has opened shop in Bistupur over a 2,200sqft area. The city outlet of The Loot is the 45th in India and the first in the eastern region of Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa and Bengal. The second store in Jharkhand would be opened in Ranchi later this month.
“There is a buoyancy in the city these days. People, especially the youth, have become brand conscious. Be it a school or college student or a young professional, everybody wants to get noticed. That is the reason we are expecting a lot of youths to visit the store,” said Ankit Agarwal, the proprietorof the store.
Jamshedpur, Sept. 5: BJP legislator from Jamshedpur (west) Sarayu Roy today served an ultimatum to the state government asking them to start the Mango drinking water project by September 20.
The water project has been hanging in balance for the past three years.
“If the drinking project fails to take off within the stipulated time, we would lay a siege in front of the East Singhbhum district collectorate on September 22.We are not going to tolerate any further delay in such an important project,” said Roy.

Through cultural programmes, sports events and seminars students made the day special for the teachers.
Students of Loyola School organised a basketball match between male teachers and students while there was a treasure hunt for the women. Sacred Heart Convent School organised a cultural event where teachers joined in.
